Future Engineers hosts online challenges, called STEAM, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) for K-12 students. We helped them revamp their entire website by including new pages for more child-friendly maneuvering and registration, a more robust dashboard flow, as well as a full education section for instructor resources. Across the site, playful colors and graphics were utilized, while a key focus was kept on ease of use and navigation.
Custom Registration User Flow
Due to online child safety laws, a robust registration flow was designed to allow a unique user path for teachers, students, and parents. We worked with Future Engineers from wireframe to design to make sure each user experience was streamlined and intuitive, all while prioritizing safety.
User Dashboards
Once registered, students and teachers can utilize a custom dashboard for easy access to challenges, submission entries and a portfolio of work. Teachers can also access a full library of creative resources and challenges to aid in classroom instruction. After a challenge closes, users can view other work on an online gallery of submitted entries, receive additional information on other challenges, and view winners. We also made sure this portfolio of work is also conveniently available on both student and teacher dashboards.
